THE BAR
2nd Edition
Crossing the Bar
Crossing the Bar is a memoir that details the struggles and triumphs in Myle’s life.
Myles wanted to tell his story so that his family and friends, and yes,—strangers, too—could learn about the bars he has crossed, and the things he learned, and maybe gain something from his experiences. Sometimes you might smile or even laugh, or nod in agreement, or shake your head in surprise. Myles hopes you will find some inspiration. And at the end, will join him in celebration. He has had a very wonderful life so far.
The Second Edition
The original book was completed in 2015. In 2018, Mary Margaret “Mai” Mezzetti passed away. Along with other changes, a new chapter is dedicated to her life and passing.

What People Are Saying
“Vincent Mezzetti tells a wonderful story of childhood growing up in Dublin and then he moved to America. He brilliantly captures and creates memories of the characters who were the neighbors. It takes place against the backdrop of an Ireland of the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s when things were simple, and growing older was a new and exciting adventure everyday. America was the place where dreams could be made and fulfilled, and station in life could be changed. This new place brought with it also joys and sorrows, laughter and tears, peaks and valleys, and near tragedies. Yes, dreams were fulfilled and family is the real gift. Enjoy the journey as you
see yourself in many of the stories.”

“An extraordinary account of one man’s journey through life. Vince’s commitment to God, family, friends and clients is remarkable. It is an honor to call him a friend and to contribute these words. Not many can share such an account of life’s experiences. You will be touched, inspired and moved by this body of work; I know you will enjoy. It is something I will forever hold dear, not only for the story of a life truly lived, but also for the inspiration gained from it. Vince and Mai, you have made this world a better place and have ensured it will continue through your legacy. God bless you.”

Security Mutual Life
“This is more than an autobiography, it’s a faith journey. Vince has taken a life of success and transformed it into a life of significance.
My advice: when Vince speaks, you should listen.“
